Week 1: trying to turn a pile of notes into flashcards
This week I pasted a few messy research notes into Gemini and asked it to make flashcards, and the cards came out technically correct but way too broad. lol, one card just said 'explain the methodology.' I'm starting to wonder what actually makes a good flashcard from a dense paper: one claim per card, or one question per card? Next I'll try giving Gemini a stricter format and see if the cards get sharper 📚 Anyone who's done something similar, how did you decide what counts as a card-worthy note?

I'm in a similar spot with product listings, and what helped me was giving Claude a strict template with one example filled in, since vague asks got me vague output too. For your cards, I'd lean toward one question per card with a specific answer you can check, like 'what sample size did they use?' instead of 'explain the methodology.' Maybe paste one card you like as the example and see if Gemini copies the shape?
