Week 2: testing different prompts for turning notes into flashcards
This week I'm comparing a few prompts in Gemini on the same set of notes, like asking for one fact per card versus asking for questions that make me explain why something is true. The one-fact cards are quick to skim, but the 'why' ones seem to stick better when I quiz myself at the library at night lol. Has anyone found a prompt structure that keeps cards short without losing the reasoning behind the idea? 🤔

Honestly I'd try a two-part card: a short question on the front, then a one-line answer with a 'because' on the back. That keeps it skimmable but the reasoning still has a spot to live. I'm doing something similar with ChatGPT for my swap tracker, asking for one short sentence per rule, and the 'because' part is what keeps it from getting vague.
