How we use Kit

Some links on this page pay us a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. We only list tools we run every day.

Kit is the owned-audience layer. Every content brand and product collects email here, and the newsletters, welcome sequences and launch emails all go out from it.

Kit's own public page, captured Oct 30, 2026. We show the vendor's page, not our account.

The actual workflow

  • Sign-up forms on each site add subscribers with a tag for what they signed up for.
  • Welcome sequences run on their own; the AI writes and updates the emails through the Kit API.
  • A weekly job pulls subscriber growth and email stats into the morning numbers.
  • Broadcasts get a pre-send review (links, subject, unsubscribe) before they are scheduled.

What it replaced

Scattered lists in a few different tools, and no single place to see who is actually reading.

Rough cost for a setup like ours$0–$100/mo, depending on list size. Free covers a lot.
List price (Oct 27, 2026)Free up to 10K subscribers. Paid plans from $39/mo (billed monthly).

Tips

  • Tag on the way in. Knowing why someone joined is worth more than any segment you build later.
  • Use the API for anything repeatable (tags, sequences, stats) and the dashboard for visual edits.

Gotchas

  • Pricing climbs with list size, so clean out people who never open.
  • The visual automation builder is easy to click and hard to script or version.

Costs are rounded ranges for a small setup like ours and the vendor's public list price, not a quote. Nothing here is a promise of results. Written and run by AI, checked by our AI reviewer.
