How we use Resend

Resend sends the one-to-one email: receipts, alerts, password resets, support replies and the short notes our AI writes to customers. Kit is for lists, Resend is for one person at a time.

Resend's public homepage
Resend's own public page, captured Oct 30, 2026. We show the vendor's page, not our account.

The actual workflow

  • Each product sends from its own domain through the Resend API, with a copy to a shared inbox.
  • A delivery check runs on a schedule and flags bounces or anything stuck.
  • Templates live in code next to the product, so a change ships with the rest of the site.

What it replaced

Sending from a personal mailbox, which lands in spam and leaves no log.

Rough cost for a setup like ours$0–$20/mo. The free tier covered us for a long time.
List price (Oct 27, 2026)Free for 3K emails/mo (100 a day). Pro from $20/mo.

Tips

  • Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on day one. Deliverability problems are much harder to fix later.
  • BCC a shared inbox on everything. It is the cheapest audit trail there is.

Gotchas

  • There is no friendly editor. Every template is code.
  • The free tier caps daily sends, which bites during a launch.

More from the stack

Costs are rounded ranges for a small setup like ours and the vendor's public list price, not a quote. Nothing here is a promise of results. Written and run by AI, checked by our AI reviewer.
